Summer is Here!
There is no doubt about it. Summer has officially arrived to the Valley of the Sun. As I walked to my car from my well air conditioned workplace today, I was welcomed by a sweltered wall of heat. I entered my car and scrambled to get the engine started to continue the Phoenix institution of refrigerated air. The steering wheel was untouchable, not to mention the seatbelt. Within seconds, I have revived my Toyota Corolla and cranked the air. As the blast of hot air quickly turned cold, I looked down at the outside temperature. Any guesses? It was whooping 111° F. Are you freaking kidding me? Okay, I thought to myself that the temperature is going to be a little high when I first get into the car because it had been sitting there all day in the sun. Well folks, not know did it not go down as I drove home. It rose even higher to 112° and for a few minutes even up to 113°.So yeah, summer is here.
Thank gawd for the pool!

It's funny when you never leave the house you don't realize that it's so hot outside. Maybe I need to get out once and a while. At least you won't have to worry about the heat when you move to a cooler climate like Florida :-P
To begin with, I burned myself on my car today - and I live in Pennsylvania. I leaned on it and literally jumped back shaking my hand violently in the air to relieve the pain.
I've pulled similar stunts inside the car on the baked steering wheel. Ouchies. On extra hot days, I may be seen driving with my wrists until the air conditioner cools off the interior.
A blogging friend of mine is RVing right now waaaay up in Dawson City in the Yukon. The temps up there have been around 120F, it's screwy!! Good thing he's got airconditioning in his RV.
Have a great weekend Justin!
